Question by My Heart Belongs 2 My Horse: Potty-Training?
How many hours should I take my inside dog out to go to the bathroom, so he doesn’t mess in the house? (He’s an older dog, that’s just starting potty-training)

start off small. Try taking him out every two to three hours, get him running, or a brisk walking to stimulate the bowls and bladder. Maybe try this for a week or so. Then slow down to every 4-5 hours ask him if he has to go pee pee outside. Once he eliminates get down to eye level and give him lots of love and praise for going outside. My dogs are pomeranians and they go out three times a day. Once in the AM, then around 3pm-5pm and then around 9-11pm. My dogs can hold their bladders up to 10 hrs without accidents, mind you that’s pushing it…but that gives me an idea of how long they can hold it, incase I can’t get home in enough time. Good luck
